Now don’t take this the wrong way but it’s constructive criticism…Find better thingz to do with your time man than to make these wack dramas and Next time Don’t render a black and white flick of yo ugly ass…..”Ambessa”

none taken, Since u r taken the responsibility of policing the web, what do u think I should do with my time Mr. Dramaisshit.

You are doing a fabulous job Ambessa, sharing your creative mind through Indie film/ movie with art lovers like myself. My only constructive criticism is please keep em coming more often :) I would love to work with you someday, so when you think of a character for me to play let me know.
PS I just sent you a msg and add request on FB.
Later…

hey i really think ur doin a great job..there is one thing i would like to say tho im sure u already know how habesha people are…when it comes to someone like u or anyone out there tryin to succeed in such feilds they are more likely to discourage u than support u …they should be proud that u are representing habesha’s..so brush ur shoulders off ma guy u aint nothin but a genuis to come up with such an art…im ur biggest fan and hope to see more from u….peace

Ambesa,
do not be discouraged by some negative opinions. remember you can’t please everyone. do what is best, and if your work is good enough it will draw enough people!!

Agneai. Way to go man. I like the tone of the film.. given you are doing all the work I have nothing to complain. Most shows involve 40+ crew and mostly have nothing to say, so keep it up… the road is tough but say what you want to say… Make us proud…

I love the shoot of Semhar by the fridge here back to the camera.. love it.

I saw one episode, forgot which one but I thought it was hip, different, intelligent, articulate, interesting, funny and Habesha like. I loved it.

I cracked up in laughter when one guy saw whiskey walk by on the counter like the movie the beautiful mind. WTF, How did you guys come with stuff like that?

I’m not a huge fan of her face either. A smirk or a more intellectual look would have been nice. Instead, she looks like a creepy manequin.

Hi. I want to offer some suggestions and opinions about your show. First of all, kudos to you for doing your thing and trying to show your creative talent. I think that takes a lot of courage and time, and the way you are responding to criticism is really impressive in terms of mannerism. My one criticism about the the show is that it doesn’t really specify what type of “habesha” life you are talking about. Being habesha myself and growing up in America, I had some trouble connect to the purpose of the show. I assumed your show was going to have kids you know struggling with their identity living in a country that is not connected to your ethnicity. Like it broke my heart to not even hear these characters speaking even a couple of words of their language whether it be tigrinya, amharic, or arabic. In your interview you say you want to focus more on human aspects of being young and that habesha is just a name, so my suggestion would be to just change the name. That way your title correlates to the theme of your show. I like the use of the black and white frames and the length of the episodes. It gives them more meaning when they are shorter. But in terms of assisstance, I know some very talented people who work in film production. Overall, good show and interested to see how the season progresses.
